History of Sheely's Furniture & Appliance

Sheely's has been family owned and operated since the 1950s, when part-time math teacher and full-time electrician Dale Sheely Sr. started to sell a few hot water heaters from his wiring storehouse. Dale wired houses during the day, while his wife, Alyce, minded the store. Furniture was soon added to the mix. The store blossomed.

By only buying and building what he could afford, Dale avoided loans, high interest and partners. He realized that low prices and a true commitment to service was a formula for success that would stand for decades.

Purchase furniture or appliances from Sheely's, and you're not just buying a product; you're gaining a relationship with a staff of service technicians who average two decades of experience.

With a showroom that exceeds 80,000 square feet, a 150,000-square-foot warehouse, that's almost 6 acres of selection and inventory, and over 150 employees, Sheely's has Ohio and Pennsylvania's largest selection of furniture, appliances and lighting. That means we offer the best selection, the best prices and the best value every day of the week.

Free Delivery

While most dealers charge for delivery, Sheely's provides free delivery within a wide radius of our store.

Financing Available

Sheely's is pleased to offer special financing through Synchrony Financial with the Sheely’s Credit Card. Our in store self help kiosk makes financing quick, easy and secure. Visit our financing page to apply online.

Free Layaway

Sheely’s provides free layaway for six months for appliance orders and three months for furniture orders. See store for details.

Excellent Service

Sheely's offers free service on all our furniture for one full year from date of delivery or customer pickup. (Excludes purchases of as-is merchandise.)

Sheely's also provides premium service for most major brands of appliances. We maintain the largest manufacturer-accredited service department in the area. We will gladly provide factory authorized service numbers upon request for our out of zone and Pennsylvania customers.
