Item Description

This distinctive floor clock includes a hinged top door with a decorative ring which frames the convex glass and a removable crown made from V-matched Movingue veneers. It is in an Autumn Cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers with heavy distressing. The aged dial features worn black Arabic numerals, a seconds track, and black serpentine hands. The dial is illuminated, while the pendulum is accentuated with the glow from the lamp.

The bottom door offers an inset panel with a decorative ring which frames the convex glass to reveal the pendulum.The inlaid marquetry on the inset panel consists of reverse diamond matched Movingue veneers with an inlay of Wenge, Rift Cut Red Oak, Bubinga, and Mahogany veneers. Antique brushed brass-finished weight shells and an antique brushed brass-finished pendulum bob on a wood stick. The door locks for added security.

The base features uniquely carved feet with an inset panel of reverse diamond matched Movingue veneers and a complementing inlay of Wenge, Mahogany, Rift Cut Red Oak, Bubinga, and Primavera veneers.

Adjustable floor levelers under all four corners level the clock on uneven and carpeted surfaces. A Cable driven, Westminster chime Kieninger movement features an automatic nighttime chime shut-off option.
